We are trying to make summer special even though our kids will be in some form of full time school/child care. For Ben's last day he had a yearbook signing party, a luau at after care and went to have fun with Grandma after that. Since the last day was on a Thursday we decided that we would let Ben stay home on Friday before starting "Kid's Klub" at daycare. Ben got to have a "day of fun" complete with a cookie bouquet, a movie in the theater on opening day and Wii time with Mom. We saw Epic in the theater and it was pretty good. Ben really liked it and wished it was longer. He says that he can't wait until it comes out on DVD. Guess that was a winner! It was an enjoyable day off and a nice start to a holiday weekend.
