Father Daughter Dance

A girl scout troop in the Jenks area puts on a Father Daughter dance as a fundraiser each spring.  We got the info about it and Mom asked E if she would like to go to a dance with Daddy.  She would get to buy a new dress, make a craft and eat cake at the dance.  Well, Mom didn't really even have to finish the question - Daddy, dancing, dresses and cake!  She was in!  She picked out a flowery new dress with sequins and a big satin bow.  She was so pleased with how she would be a princess and get to do princess dancing with Dad.  She wondered if he would need to go to dance class with her to learn some moves.  She really thought they would be doing choreography!

Dad took her out to dinner before while Mom and Ben had a date of their own at McDonalds.  They went to an Italian restaurant and had a nice time.  At the dance they had a Hollywood photo shoot, crafts, cake and, of course, dancing.  She reports that they danced a lot, but the truth is that she mostly sang "What Does the Fox Say?" and "Let it Go" loudly while moving her arms.  That is all she really wanted to do in front of the crowds of girls and dads.  At bedtime that night she told Mom to be sure to save the paper as soon as we got it for next year's dance information.  She couldn't wait for Dad to take her again.  Precious!
