Basketball/Soccer

Ben is our sports nut.  He likes to watch, play and read about sports.  He played basketball again this year through a local church league and played "up" against second grade teams.  It was a good challenge and was difficult but they had several wins and came out of the season a much more skilled set of players.  Once basketball was done we basically went straight into soccer practices and soccer season.  Ben is learning to play more aggressively and working on different positions.  He plays sweep a lot, but also does well in one of the forward positions where he can score.  He had several goals this season and one game with three goals.  This group of little boys really gelled and are already planning to play again this fall.  It is fun to see them "get" strategy in more detail and learn the finer points of the game.  Mom is even picking up a few things!
