Ben was called a party animal recently! Practices were winding down and other activities and weeknights were starting to look open again. Summer was just around the corner. Then the soccer party got scheduled for Cinco de Mayo, then Dad got scheduled to leave town, then the Scout party got scheduled for Cinco de Mayo as well. It was going to be one busy night! Mom decided that it was worth it to go to both. We wanted to get our soccer trophy and pictures, but we hit that party first and for only 20 minutes. The kids did so well as the party was at Braum's, but we weren't staying for ice cream. The next party was at someone's house. It would also have treats, so they knew it would be coming. This party was so much fun! They had a new tree house that was bigger than any tree we actually have at our house. There were go-carts that Ben LOVED pretending to be a NASCAR driver in. They had a semi cab for touring as the family owns a trucking company. There was swimming which we opted out of since Mom was double teamed. There was plenty to do though, so it didn't really matter. Elizabeth had a friend there and they played on the trampoline and playground equipment until I literally had to pull her off to go home. They also explored the tree house and had to be "rescued" from the high ladder after they realized how high they were. It was a wild night of fun, friends, food and lots of playing. They both slept well that night!!
