The first graders put on a musical presentation of Toad and Frog. They had visors with their character's "costume". You could tell that the kids had been practicing for a while - they knew those songs and motions so well! After the musical, we headed to the regular classroom for Reader's Theater. Three groups read a story for us. Ben's was called Dog Breath. It was too funny and the kids read so well! Everyone had a part! After that we got to look through their art portfolio from the year and see how they had studied and practiced various techniques. Parents were allowed to take the kiddos to lunch after that and Ben chose Subway for his date. We had to hurry though as he didn't want to miss recess. Priorities!
