Walking fieldtrip

Elizabeth's class had a walking field trip near the end of the year.  Pre-K is not allowed to ride school buses yet, so we got to visit three local businesses that share the intersection with the school.  Mom was able to attend as a helper and got to walk with Elizabeth and a friend on the trip.  First, we started at the bank.  This was maybe the favorite of the group.  The kids got to go in the vault and look in safety deposit boxes.  They got to talk to the drive thru lanes and send the canister through the tube to the car lane.  So much fun!  Then we headed to the YMCA.  We got to check out the workout areas and even had some of our own exercises in the group class room.  Last was the Walgreens.  The kids had their picture taken at the beginning of the tour and by the end they each got a print of the photo from the photo lab.  The pharmacist also gave a nice talk and answered lots of questions.  It was a fun day and Mom was even able to check Elizabeth out early and go out for ice cream afterward.  Yea for girl time!
