Three Months Old

Wow! Where did these three months go? Elizabeth has grown so fast and is continuing to win over our hearts with her increasing interactions. Ellie has been at school for about a month now. She is settling into a routine with our favorite infant teachers. She has several little boyfriends in class that we enjoy seeing each day. Ben is a professional at dropping her off now. Bottles first, carseat to the end of the hall, write on the papers and then pick out a special toy for Sister to enjoy.

Elizabeth continues to grow longer by the minute. She is very long and lean. Her hair is really growing on the top and continues to be sparse on the sides where she rubs her head when she lays down. Her eyes have stayed a dark gray blue so far and she looks more like Ben each day.

Ellie's range of noises is definitely increasing. We get all sorts of coos, some noises that sound like laughs, some shrieks and a random assortment of other sounds that leave Ben asking "What's that??" Just Sister talking again. :) Ellie is also so close to rolling over. She really has no interest in rolling off of her tummy to her back which is funny to us since that is the first thing Ben wanted to do and continued to do repeatedly. You could hardly keep him on his tummy. Ellie has decided that she is going to work relentlessly till she can get to her tummy from her back. She makes it pretty much all the way over, but then her arm gets stuck underneath her and she gets mad. So we help her the rest of the way and she plays on her tummy for a while. She is now enjoying her baby gym, exersaucer and Bumbo chair for short periods. She is entertained by the toys and grabs at them. Ben is a sweet brother and talks to her while she plays and makes the toys dance and move for her.

Some of our favorite family activities include reading together, singing to Elizabeth and dancing/hopping. Sister needs a little help with this last one still, but Brother gets a huge kick out of her dancing and hopping like him (with Mommy or Daddy's help).
