Valentine's Day

Both kids enjoyed Valentine’s Day this year with parties at school and lots of treats!! They are both still enjoying their mailboxes at home and looking at their valentines from their friends. Here are a few pictures of their fun and the special dinner that Mom made them. Ha ha!

A blurry shot, but wanted to show off our fancy dinner of cheese and hot dogs. After Mom worked to put these together, Ben refused to eat these parts that were cut off and not a normal straight line. He ended up eating a regular hot dog. It was a nice thought at least!

Snow Day

We got lots of snow today - it was actually a record setting blizzard! We enjoyed most of the day inside, but the boys went out for a few minutes in the afternoon just to say they were in snow this deep. Since the temperatures are so cold and the snow isn't going anywhere, we will be home again tomorrow!

Birthday Celebrations

Elizabeth's actual birthday was on a school day so she took brownie treats to share with her friends. The class enjoyed eating them and sang happy birthday to her as well. Mom took her home a little early that day to play and count down to her birthday dinner. Ben helped plan the birthday dinner with great reasoning. He and Elizabeth both like chicken nuggets. They should go to a place that gives out toys and wouldn't it be nice if that place also had crowns? We ended up agreeing to a celebration at Burger King as proposed by big brother. Grandma Lyn and Grandpa David were gracious enough to join us for this treat and the kids had a blast wearing their crowns, eating chicken nuggets and opening E's gifts.

The following Saturday we were able to celebrate with more family and a few special friends at a pink pony party at our house. Elizabeth handled the attention really well and really got into opening her gifts and singing "Happy Happy to Me". We were thankful to get to celebrate with so many important people in our lives and glad our "little filly" enjoyed her special day.
