Ben participated in a trike-a-thon at school to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He was eager to raise money for the kids that need help and was successful in raising almost $200. He was very proud to turn in his money and even decided to donate some of his own. He really wanted to donate $7, but he only had $5 in his bank. So he modified his donation, but was so excited that he could help.
On the big trike-a-thon day, the weather was cold and wet. He was a trooper though in his coat and did a great job. There was a crash at one point and Ben took the brunt of it. He hurt his bottom pretty good when he fell, so he took a little break and rested with Mom. Mom thought he was done for the day, but Ben surprised everyone and said he was better after a rest and wanted to try again. Yea! He rode the rest of the time and then enjoyed a hot dog lunch with all of the participants.
